A few months ago, a buddy of mine from college, Lizzie (some of you know her as amimono), decided to drop her knitting blog because it made her hate to knit. If she was working on something, she felt obligated to blog about it, take pictures of it, etc. She found (as I have in the past few weeks) that this can take serious time away from actual knitting. So she gave it up. She has not posted since then.
I'm not going to take Lizzie's action. I like blogging, but have found in the past month that it has taken away from activities that are higher up on the priority list. Knitting vast amounts of holiday gifts, moving into a new apartment, getting sick...really sick, making said apartment feel like a space I was comfortable in. To make matter's worse, the Fiance's laptop (which I've been using a lot) doesn't have a good photo editing program. Well no, wait. The programs are too good. All I want to do is shrink a picture to 30% of its original size and still have it come out looking ok. I don't care about ppi or any of that stuff. Now that my computer's up, the holidays are over, OVER over, and the house looks half way livable, I'm ready to get back to it. Tomorrow, the fiance goes back to work and I'll be able to do a nice catch-up post. It won't contain pictures of all the knitting I've accomplished or not accomplished, but hopefully it will get me on proper footing for the new year.
